Statement
My work explores the interplay between structure and fluidity, order and unpredictability. Through the repetition of hand-drawn marks, I create intricate compositions that unfold over time—each mark a moment captured through deliberate motion. The process balances control and surrender, where repetition of a single element gives rise to subtle variation.
Each drawing develops through the accumulation of gestural marks. Some are contained within geometric frameworks, forming gradients of light and dark; others unfold more freely, with marks drifting and intertwining to create networks of movement, stillness, and negative space. I am interested in how these accumulations transform into something larger and interconnected, and how structure and spontaneity coexist as perception continually shifts.
